About the Company

Alpine Capital Management, LLC is a registered investment adviser with offices in Alpine, Utah - near Salt Lake City. Alpine Capital offers premiere investment management services and strategies for individuals, corporations, trusts, endowments, IRAs, pensions and profit-sharing plans.

Dennis Slothower is the firm’s Founder, Chairman, and Chief Investment Officer. He was raised in sunny San Diego, and now resides in Alpine, Utah, with his wife Debbie. He is the father of five children and several grandchildren.

After receiving his degree from Brigham Young University, Mr. Slothower found his professional passion: the stock market. In 1979 he joined the brokerage firm of Shearson Lehman Hutton. With a fresh and unique approach to risk-management, he quickly moved up the corporate ladder as a trader- and later developed his own propriety risk-management model.

Mr. Slothower’s desire to give his Clients what was best for them prompted his departure from Shearson in 1989-spawning his successful and highly respected career as an independent money manager.

He is also the editor of two widely recognized and critically acclaimed financial newsletters, On The Money and Stealth Stocks. He is a popular speaker on the investment-conference circuit and is frequently sought after for interviews and articles by such major financial publication as Barron’s, Forbes, and CBS Market Watch.

Successful money-management is predicated on risk-management, the process of analyzing potential rewards versus acceptable risk. Unfortunately, many investors focus so keenly on how to buy securities and make money that they lose sight of how to protect and preserve capital.

Alpine Capital’s focus is to protect and enhance wealth. Using a highly disciplined and proprietary risk-management model, the odds are stacked on the side of the investor, not mere speculation or gambling.

Alpine Capital is intensely committed to providing consistent, absolute returns, regardless of market conditions.

Past performance may not be indicative of future results. Therefore, no current or prospective client should assume that future performance of any specific Alpine Capital Management strategy would be profitable or reach its performance objective. Different types of investments involve varying degrees of risk, and there can be no assurance that any specific investment or strategy will be either suitable or profitable for a specific investment portfolio.
